DAN BRESOLIN

Vice-President, Intermodal


Dan Bresolin was appointed Vice-President, Intermodal in January 2020. He is based in Brampton, ON.

Currently representing a substantial portion of CN’s revenues, Intermodal is critical to CN’s current and future success. In this expanded role, Dan will focus on driving growth in both Domestic and International Intermodal and will be responsible for all components of CN’s International and Domestic portfolios, including regional sales, marketing, brokerage and CN WorldWide freight forwarding services.

Since he joined CN in 1999, Dan has taken on increasing responsibilities through his various roles as Assistant Vice-President Intermodal, Assistant Vice-President International Intermodal, Director of Marketing, Intermodal International and Director of Sales of both Strategic Sales and Domestic Intermodal.

As a qualified Rail Conductor and Intermodal Crane Operator, Dan takes great pride in his knowledge and experience in rail operations and in helping add value for Intermodal customers.

CRISTINA CIRCELLI

CRISTINA CIRCELLI

Vice-President, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel


Cristina Circelli was appointed Vice-President, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel in September 2022, and is based in Montreal.

Her responsibilities include overseeing corporate governance matters and providing counsel on legal requirements and best practice recommendations to CN’s Board of Directors and Executive Team. She also has oversight of compliance with securities laws in Canada and the United States and disclosure matters, and provides support in financial transactions, pension and human resources matters.

Prior to joining CN in 1994 as General Counsel, Cristina was a partner at Montreal law firm Mackenzie Gervais, where she was involved in general corporate and commercial practice, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations, in addition to specializing in institutional and corporate financing.

Ms. Circelli holds Civil and Common Law Degrees from McGill University and has attended the ICD Directors Education Program. She is a past member of the board of directors of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.

 
NICHOLAS CLARK

NICHOLAS CLARK

Vice-President, Transportation Southern Region


Nicholas Clark was appointed Vice-President, Transportation Southern Region in December 2023. He is responsible for providing a consistent and reliable service to CN’s network spanning U.S. operations from Mobile, AL and New Orleans to Ranier, MN and Port Huron, MI.

Nick joined CN in 2012 as a Management Trainee in Homewood, IL, and has since built his career with CN, holding management roles with increasing responsibility in Transportation and in Strategy. A highly regarded operations leader, Nick’s strategic insights and effective management style have played a pivotal role in guiding numerous programs and optimizing critical processes within CN.

Nick has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Adrian College in Michigan and a Law Degree (Juris Doctor) from Thomas M. Cooley Law School.

 
JJ DRATVA
Vice-President, Procurement and Supply Management

JJ DRATVA

Vice-President, Procurement and Supply Management


JJ Dratva was appointed as Vice-President, Procurement and Supply Management in November 2024. He is responsible for advancing CN’s sustainable procurement practices to deliver long-term value for the organization.

JJ began his career at CN as Director of Supply Management – Fleet Services in 2014. Since then, he has held progressively more senior roles, including Director Procurement Transformation, Senior Director Procurement Strategy and Enablement and, in 2021, he became Assistant Vice-President of Procurement and Supply Management.

JJ holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from McGill University. He is known for his collaborative approach, strong stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement mindset.

SANDRA ELLIS

SANDRA ELLIS

Sandra Ellis was appointed Vice-President, Bulk in December 2022. She is responsible for driving CN’s market expansion and sales activities in the grain, fertilizers, sulphur, coal and petroleum coke businesses to help maximize our contribution to our Bulk customers’ growth and success.

Sandra has worked in the rail sector for over 20 years. Prior to joining CN, she was Director Commercial Development NGL Processing at Inter Pipeline Ltd., where she drove the negotiation of multi-million-dollar railcar purchase and lease agreements, and implemented a new rail/truck transportation team for natural gas liquids (NGLs). She also held several Sales and Marketing management roles at CP for more than 15 years.

Sandra has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan.

 
SALVATORE FORGIONE

SALVATORE FORGIONE

Vice-President and Corporate Comptroller


Sam Forgione was appointed Vice-President and Corporate Comptroller in July 2016. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice-President, Investor Relations since March 2016.

Sam is responsible for CN’s financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll among other areas.

He has been a Chartered Accountant since 1990 and began his career at CN in 1994 in Corporate Accounting, where he held positions of increasing responsibility. In 2001, he became Director of Corporate Development, focusing mainly on mergers and acquisitions. In 2011, Sam rejoined the Accounting department as Assistant Comptroller, General Accounting, before being appointed Assistant Comptroller, Revenue Management in 2012, and Assistant Comptroller, Financial Reporting in 2013.

Sam is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a graduate degree in Accountancy from Concordia University in Montreal.

Martin Guimond was appointed Vice-President, Eastern Region in June 2022, based in Montreal, QC. He is responsible for portions of CN’s network, from Ontario to Nova Scotia.

Martin joined CN in 2017 as Vice-President, Multimodal Operations and was responsible for all intermodal terminal operations, including CNTL trucking fleet. Prior to joining CN, he held progressively senior roles at British American Tobacco in a variety of areas, including operations and supply chain, sales, marketing, warehouse and manufacturing plant management.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in operations and production management from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal.

MARK GRUBBS

MARK GRUBBS

Mark Grubbs was appointed Vice-President, Mechanical in April 2022 and is based in Homewood, Illinois.

Mark leads all activities related to CN’s locomotive and railcar maintenance operations with a focus on service reliability and safety.

Mark has more than 25 years of experience in the rail industry. He started his career as a Journeyman Carman and has progressively held more senior roles at class 1 railroads, most recently as Chief Mechanical Officer and Assistant Vice-President at BNSF Railway. Mark is known for his leadership in safety and developing and sustaining positive and cohesive relationships while driving productivity, efficiency and safe work practices.

Mark holds a MBA from Texas Christian University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University.

NICOLE JAMES

NICOLE JAMES

Vice-President, Transportation Western Region


Nicole James was appointed Vice-President, Western Region in July 2023. She is based in Edmonton, AB.

Nicole has more than 20 years of transportation and operations experience. She has held roles of increasing responsibility at CN, including General Manager Supply Chain, General Manager, Network Operations, and Director of Mechanical Reliability, where she oversaw rail traffic movement throughout Canada and the US. Before joining CN, Nicole worked at BNSF Railway and held various roles in field operations, including leading large classification terminals, regional crew management and dispatching centers.

Nicole holds a bachelor’s degree in Transportation and Logistics from Iowa State University and a master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Denver. In June 2023, she was recognized with an International Railway Journal Women in Rail Award.

President and Chief Executive Officer, TransX


Derek Lachaine was appointed President of TransX Group of Companies in April 2024.

Derek brings a wealth of experience to this role, having been an integral part of the TransX team since 2001. His journey within the company includes notable achievements in Linehaul operations, before progressing to more senior roles, including Vice-President Truckload Sales and Operations and then as Chief Operating Officer.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Bio Systems Engineering and has successfully completed the Advanced Management Program at Harvard University.

TransX is a leading provider of premier integrated transportation services across North America. CN acquired TransX on October 30, 2018.

KELLY LEVIS

KELLY LEVIS

Vice-President, Industrial Products


Kelly Levis was appointed Vice-President, Industrial Products in October 2018, based in Montreal. In this role, she leads the industrial products division, which oversees forest products and metals and minerals markets. Prior to that, she had been Assistant Vice-President, Industrial Products since July 2015.

Kelly joined CN in 1997 after seven years in the pharmaceutical industry. She began her career at CN as a commodity manager in CN’s Petroleum and Chemicals business unit and moved into Sales in January 2000 after being transferred to Chicago. She subsequently served as Director of Sales and Pricing for CN’s international freight forwarding subsidiary CN WorldWide Inc, Director of Supply Chain and Director Sales US.

Kelly holds a MBA from the University of Chicago at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Statistics & Decision Sciences from Concordia University in Montreal.

Marianne Limoges was appointed Vice-President and Treasurer in February 2024. She is responsible for shaping and executing CN’s financial policies, overseeing capital structure, financial risk management, and cash management.

Recognized for her critical thinking and transformative leadership, Marianne excels in building trusting relationships with stakeholders. Her expertise extends to advising on financial matters like mergers and acquisitions (M&A), pensions, and optimizing CN’s real estate function.

Marianne previously served as Treasurer and Vice-President at Resolute Forest Products where she led multiple teams, including overseeing a $4 billion pension investment portfolio. Prior to that, she spent 12 years at Otera Capital, a subsidiary of the Caisse de Dépôt et de Placement du Quebec (“CDPQ”), in various finance leadership roles.

Marianne holds an MBA and a bachelor’s degree in finance from HEC Montreal.

Jamie Lockwood was appointed Vice-President, Engineering in May 2024 and is based in Edmonton, AB. Jamie is responsible for the design, construction, and ongoing maintenance of railway infrastructure projects as they align to drive service excellence and sustainable growth.

Jamie has a comprehensive background of the rail industry with senior leadership expertise in strategy, supply chain, and financial planning. His enterprise-wide experience helps him guide decisions while leading the engineering team in delivering on large capex projects.

Previously, Jamie served as Vice-President, Financial Planning and Vice-President, Strategy and Supply Chain. During his more than 16 years at CN, he has held roles in Internal Audit, Strategy, and Finance.

Jamie holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy (2004) and has a Graduate Diploma in Accountancy (2006) from Concordia University (Montreal, Quebec). He is a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants.

Matt McClaren was appointed Vice-President, Safety in July 2024. He oversees the execution and continual enhancement of CN's overall safety performance and systems, and the deepening of our safety culture.

A seasoned leader with over 24 years at CN, Matt’s deep-rooted knowledge of railroad operations and relationship-building skills have contributed to fostering a widespread safety culture within the Company. Under his guidance, CN continues to prioritize the well-being of its employees and the communities it serves, reinforcing its reputation as a safety-first company.

Cassandra Mullee was appointed Vice-President, Network Operations in May 2024 and is based in Edmonton, AB. She is responsible for enhancing network efficiency, ensuring fluid terminal operation and supporting service commitments to drive volume growth.

Cassie has more than 16 years of experience in the railroad industry, at Norfolk Southern Railway in field and network operations, where she advanced into more senior roles, eventually becoming General Manager, Network Operations.

Cassie holds a Bachelor of Science in International Business from the College of Charleston and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management.

Girish Nair was appointed Vice-President, Multimodal, in December 2023. He is responsible for sustaining and building excellent service to customers through CN’s Multimodal operations.

A dynamic leader, Girish is distinguished by his unwavering commitment to excellence, a keen understanding of market dynamics, and an unrelenting pursuit of providing best-in-class customer service.

Girish started his journey at CN in 2010 as Market Manager. He then advanced to more senior Sales and Marketing roles and became Assistant Vice-President, International Intermodal, Sales and Marketing in 2021. Beyond CN, Girish has left his mark on the global stage in senior sales and marketing roles at COSCO in Dubai, UAE, as well as with GE and Tata Donnelley Ltd. in Mumbai, India.

Girish holds an MBA from the University of Leicester in England and a bachelor’s degree in commerce from the University of Mumbai.

Helen Quirke was appointed Vice-President, Supply Chain and Business Development in February 2023. She is based in Brampton, Ontario and is responsible for the Iron Ore Supply Chain, Automotive, Business Development, the Supply Chain Sales Team for North America, Transloads, and Customs Brokerage.

Helen joined CN in June 2020, leading the newly formed Strategy team and bringing her wealth of experience in strategic planning and implementation. Prior to joining CN, Helen was Managing Director and Partner at the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) since 2013, where she was focused on industrial goods companies. Prior to BCG, she led a successful career in sports management in New Zealand.

Helen holds a Bachelor of Science in Statistics and Operations Research (2000), and an LLB (2002) from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. She also obtained a Master of Business Administration from the University of Cambridge in 2012.

Buck (Robert) Rogers was appointed Vice-President, Petroleum and Chemicals in April 2019, based in Homewood, IL. He oversees sales and marketing for CN's Petroleum and Chemicals business unit.

Previously, Buck held positions of increasing responsibility in Sales and Marketing including Assistant Vice-President Petroleum and Chemicals, Director of Sales Petroleum and Chemicals, Director of Regional Sales in Corporate Marketing and as a National Account Manager. He most recently served as Senior Director, Mechanical since January 2019.

Buck has been involved in the rail industry for over 25 years gaining experience in both operations and sales. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he completed a Master of Science in Transportation from the University of Denver in 2018.

On October 25, 2023, Bruno Roy was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of the CN Investment Division (the Division), which manages one of the largest corporate pension funds in Canada. He is accountable for all aspects of investment management and organizational oversight to ensure long-term, sustainable performance for CN’s pension plans.

Bruno has over 30 years of experience in investments, capital markets, pensions, derivatives, and risk management. He joined the Division in 2002 and held various positions as an investment manager for 20 years, primarily involved in the investment strategy, private market investments, and fixed income.

His expertise in managing diverse portfolios, navigating complex financial regulations, and implementing innovating investment solutions has earned him a well-deserved reputation in the investment industry. Bruno is a member of the Comité de placements des régimes de retraite de l’Université Laval and a member of the Nunavut Trust Investment Advisory Committee. He holds a Master of Science in Finance from Boston College, a Bachelor's in Business from Bishop’s University in Montreal, QC and is a CFA® charterholder.

James Thompson was appointed Vice-President, Strategy and Special Projects in July 2023, based in Montreal, QC. He is responsible for identifying opportunities and creating winning customer solutions, while delivering operational efficiencies.

James has been with CN over 25 years, holding roles of increasing responsibility in the Company's operations across CN’s network. He was previously Vice-President, Transportation Western Region, a role he held since April 2019.

James' considerable operational knowledge, as well as his interest and deep experience in management training serve to advance CN's strategic agenda and shape the railroad of the future.
