CN encourages communities from across its network to show their support for rail safety, a shared responsibility, through coordinated policing and public crossing information activities. The public also shares responsibility by obeying rail crossing signals and refraining from trespassing.
In 2022, 264 communities and organizations signed resolutions or issued proclamations expressing their support for Rail Safety Week.
